Travelling to The King's Centre

Green Travel Policy

The King's Centre operates a green travel policy, working in partnership with Oxford City Council to reduce traffic congestion and benefit the local community. Please discuss your travel arrangements with The King's Centre when making a booking.

Public Transport

The King's Centre has excellent access from public transport. Oxford rail station is 10-15 minutes walk from the King's Centre, and Oxford coach station is 15-20 minutes walk. There are also 5 Park and Ride services operating around Oxford, with easy access from the motorways. The nearest bus stop is a 5-10 minute walk along the Thames towpath from The King's Centre. There are regular coach services from these airports to Oxford City Centre. The King's Centre is just 15 minutes walk from the city centre.

Cycling
The King’s Centre provides undercover and secure bicycle racks for visitors. If you live in the city centre and prefer to walk or bring your bike on the train the centre is next to a cycle rout from the City Centre and station and cycle maps can be provided.


Walking
The Centre can be accessed by the riverside walk from Folly Bridge, Osney Island the railway station or Jericho.


By Car
For those unable to use alternative modes of transport to and from The Centre (i.e. elderly, disabled, those carrying heavy equipment, etc.) permits will be issued to enable use of the car park. For those willing to car share, please contact your event organiser to discuss parking permits, which will be issued on the above premise assuming four persons per car will travel to and from the Centre.
Please note: there is no road side parking on Osney Mead or in surrounding residential areas and cars without a permit will not be allowed to park in the car park
