Green Travel Policy
The King's Centre operates a Green Travel Policy, working in partnership with Oxford City Council to reduce traffic congestion and benefit the local community. Please discuss your travel arrangements with The King's Centre when making a booking.
Park & Ride
There are 5 Park & Ride services operating around Oxford, with easy access from the motorways. The nearest is the Seacourt, just off the A34 Botley Interchange. Buses run every 15-20 minutes straight down Botley Road and through town to the Thornhill carpark.
You will need to get off at the Osney Island bus stop on Botley Road, from where The King’s Centre is just a 5-10 minute walk along the Thames towpath (marked by a dotted line on our map.)

The King's Centre is just a 10 – 15 minute walk from Oxford rail station.
From London Heathrow/Gatwick
There are regular coach services from these airports and bus stops around London to the Gloucester Green coach station in Oxford City Centre, from where The King's Centre is just a 15 - 20 minute walk.
The King’s Centre provides undercover and secure bicycle racks for visitors. If you cycle round Oxford or would like to bring your bike on the train, The King’s Centre is next to the Thames towpath (marked by a dotted line on our map), which is suitable for bicycles. If you live in Oxford and prefer to walk, The King’s Centre can be accessed by the Thames towpath from Folly Bridge or Osney Island . This is marked by a dotted line on our map.
In order to help reduce traffic congestion at peak travel times in Oxford City Centre, we ask delegates to find alternative means of travelling to The King’s Centre. However, we are able to offer a limited amount of parking on site, and will allocate a number of permits to the event organiser based on car sharing. If you need to park, please contact your event organiser to request a permit.
Please note: there is no unrestricted roadside parking on Osney Mead or in surrounding residential areas and cars without a permit will not be allowed to park in the car park.
